The Supreme Court has struck down the law the prohibited professional sports betting across America. This came after the push by Chris Christie governor of New Jersey. The only area where legal sportsbooks thrived used to be in Las Vegas Casinos, but illegal sports betting is a huge business in the underworld. This new measure should help curb some of the crime and also allow taxation / regulation. West Virginia, Minnesota, and New Jersey will be the first to take bets in thier casinos in late 2018. Of course other states will soon follow. New York, Illinois, and Pennsylvania already have sports betting bills in the works.
