How the Game is Designed

The looks and overall design features of Pragmatic Play’s Multi-Hand Blackjack are rather disappointing. The felt is blue, and while the detailed chips in the background look nice, not much can be said about the rest, especially the cards, which look very budget or poor quality when it comes to a design point of view.

The features on the table are quite large, which means a lot of the game area is taken up. However, the most impactful design aspect is the betting interface because it is not player-friendly at all. Instead of selecting the chip and placing your bet, players must click-through a plus and minus button (so five clicks through to the max bet) to change the chip and then click one of the three placements on the felt to place the bet. Yeah, this is a cosmetic issue, but it is just an unnecessary inconvenience.

Being able to play on mobile is excellent, though, and it also fixes some of the issues with the design elements as they don’t look as poor quality on smaller screens.

What we did like was the ability to change the dealer voices (male or female), sometimes it is nice to change from the typical English female voice.

Special Features

There is nothing fancy to talk about when it comes to this version of Multi-Hand Blackjack as the game is largely just the standard game. Players can place bets on three hands at a time, but this is often the case with American online blackjack casino games.

Payouts wise, the blackjack pays 3:2, insurance pays 2:1, and the dealer must draw to 16 and stand on 17, which is standard anyway.

Likely the most essential feature in this variant of blackjack is that Pragmatic Play has gone ahead and included a built-in strategy chart, which is a nice touch as it makes it easy for players to refer to when deciding whether to hit, stand, double, or split.

The game includes eight decks in the shoe and has a return to player percentage of 99.62%, which is above average.
